Vista Treehouse

Cross an item off your bucket list by staying in one of our treehouses. Vista is the first treehouse we built at the Hideout designed to give you an unobstructed view of Sigiriya rock, and panoramic views of the paddy fields in-between. Built as a passion project, you will feel the craftsmanship that went into Vista; branches of the host tree weave their way through the unit, making you truly feel in touch with nature. You'll also get a full, private bathroom, a rarity among treehouses.

Being so close to nature, it's unavoidable to keep all the friendly critters out. You may find little frogs or geckos in your room - just let our team know, and we'll remove them without harming them. Note also that our wifi signal may not reach Vista -you're welcome to enjoy wifi from our lounge areas.

We work hard to protect our local ecosystem. Expect peacocks doing their colourful dances, birds singing their beautiful songs, and little critters buzzing about. We ask for your help by always keeping your room door closed, keeping all wildlife safely outside your room.

Canopy Treehouse

The Canopy Treehouse is our second treehouse built here at the Hideout. It's nestled high among the leaves of banana and bamboo trees. You'll enjoy a spectacular view of the trees, paddy fields and Sigiriya rock from your spacious balcony - the perfect place to enjoy sunrise with a cup of tea. You'll also get a full, private bathroom in the treehouse.

Our biggest treehouse is a two-bedroom cottage with panoramic views of Sigiriya rock against the wide-open paddy fields. This treehouse is perfect for a family or group of friends traveling together.
